Millineal Media, a mobile advertising network, has reported that it now has more Adroid OS (operating system) phones on its network than Apple’s iOS. It is no surprise that Android devices have been gaining in popularity. Android offers its platform across multiple devices, which allows for greater reach in the marketplace.
Early in 2010, Nielson reported that Android phones outsold iPhones, so this news does not come as a surprise. Look for a cotinued battle between these two platforms in the coming months. The iPhone is close to coming to Verizon. That will certainly help Apple’s cause. If we have learned one thing from Google though; never count them out of the fight.
